A veteran is anyone that has completed one or more days service in the Armed Forces, this includes reserve services, national service and those who have served in the RFA (Royal Fleet Auxiliary) and Merchant Navy.

The hub is run by veterans and their families for veterans and their families and works with a range of organisations in the city to shape better pathways and provides:

- Social activity
- Peer support and mentoring
- Information, advice, and guidance for the following:

   - Employment

   - Welfare Benefits

The hub works, with local health service partners, to help veterans get the support that they are entitled to under the military covenant.
