Make a Difference for Mayflower 400 is the Improving Lives Plymouth project contributing to Mayflower 400 and is aimed at businesses and individals in Plymouth to prepare the city ready for Mayflower 2020. The project is broken down into 3 areas;
Make a Difference Days are created for employee volunteers who will give their time to support local communities and spaces. These are group volunteering days that can be organised for one business with a number of staff or a variety of businesses joining together to volunteer. Click here to see how you can get involved.
Would your staff be able to volunteer to monitor and help maintain an area you have adopted?
This is a great opportunity for your business and staff to have fun and take responsibility for a green space
Re-planting, painting and regular maintenance of a neglected area is a positive step towards making Plymouth more attractive, tackling climate change, creating habitat for wildlife and reducing anti-social behaviour.
All we ask for is a commitment to look after the area for a minimum of 12 months.
The space must be linked to Mayflower 400
The space must have open access
Employees must contribute their volunteering hours during their normal working hours
