At our Resource Centre we offer Braille tuition, the tactile writing system that is used by
people who are blind or visually impaired. Students learn to develop their use of touch to
‘read’ a series of dots written on embossed paper. They may also progress to writing Braille.
In addition, our team offer ‘Skills for Seeing’ (Eccentric Viewing) instruction. These sessions
aim to help those with sight loss (particularly those with Macular Degeneration) use their remaining vision more effectively. We are pleased to be able to offer this training under the auspices of the Macular Society.
