Carers Events and Activities
Caring for Caring run multiple activities within different themes throughout the year. All of our activities are advertised via our monthly e-newsletter, as well as a paper copy twice per year. If you would like to find out more please contact us either via email on caringforcarers@improvinglivesplymouth.org.uk or phone 01752 201890.
Carers Week
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. Unpaid carers should be valued and respected by everyone in our society, and carers should have the information and support they need.
Carers Rights Day
In November, every year Caring for Carers run a national day called Carers Rights Day to focus on raising awareness of the rights that unpaid carers have. Although this day is a very important day, we believe that carers rights should be represented every day of the year. Caring can be hard work - physically and emotionally.
caringforcarers@improvinglivesplymouth.org.uk and ask us to add your email address so that you can receive the e-newsletter.
Carers Event and Activity Policy
Unless otherwise stated, all events and activities must be booked in advance. Please ring 01752 201890 to book your place.
Some events require a non-refundable contribution, payable at time of booking to secure your place. If an event or activity is over-subscribed we will give priority to new carers who have been in contact with us for under 12 months and carers who have not accessed an activity for some time, unfortunately ex-carers are not able to access any events or activities advertised.
